A match made in Haight: take some delish German food next door to enjoy it with a rotating selection of craft brews on fresh taps at Toronado's

Got dinner from Berliner Berliner last night. Ate it next door at Toronado. Food is excellent. German comfort food with great vegetarian and vegan options. The owner is very nice and ran a bowl of soup over to my table at the bar.

Lol very fun strange vibe felt very organically lower Haight if you know what I mean. Everything is great I did come on a Tuesday recently and I guess it's cheeseburger day so I ordered one and it in fact was very good and she randomly gave me a cookie.

Yes this was Rosamunde on Haight. The manager was able to buy the sausage restaurant and make it her own. It's homemade like her grandma. The apple potato salad is her grandma's recipe. The owner Christine knows her sausage and I like sausages. Don't call them hotdogs! I have had the beer sausage and she encouraged me to come back and have the "doner" pronounced "doona" sausage which is a mediterranean kebab meat sausage on a gyro. It's a popular street food in Germany. What happened in USA was...hotdogs...and the bratwurst revival! I think it's fun. Serves hamburgers too. Be friendly with the owner. She gives me discounts. A fun SF experience. You can see and hear the sausages sizzle.

This neighborhood fav has been here forever under a different name & ownership. Love stories like this where the employee ends up being the new owner. She expanded on the sausage selection, added more plant- based options & continued the Tuesday hamburger tradition. Hopefully, she'll keep the Parklet, as the shop holds like two people. I'm pretty sure you can still take your food to go & enjoy next door at the beer bar.

The food was amazing and ambiance was great, and such a unique mix of flavors. We got 3 dogs and a pretzel (honey butter is a must!). Everything was so delicious and fresh! If you're in SF you have GOT to go!!! The best place ro go after smoking a J.

The owner here is super sweet! Definitely a small mom and pop shop with neighborhood warmth. Plus they went all out with halloween decor. We tried the berliner doner and mighty beer. I really liked the sauce and pita bread that came with the doner but I preferred the sausage on the mighty beer. Overall, great lunch spot and super cozy!

Situation - Lunch on a Saturday - Ordered the Haight Street Doner (with Chicken) Pros - My food was delicious - The chicken was cooked well Cons - It did take a little around 20 minutes (but it was worth it)

I was just so happy to be back here ... and this coming from someone that does not even eat meat!! They gave all kinds of hot dogs including 4 different vegan varieties and they are seriously the best ever!! It's a simple hole in the wall where you walk up, the owner takes your order and they make it fresh for you! Amazing bread, fresh ingredients- I had the Italian with spicy peppers that definitely has a kick but in a good way! You can eat right outside or enjoy next door with an amazing beer at Toronado!! Love this place !!
